Product Description

Inside the indicator tube is a lightweight magnetized indicator or series of metallic flags. The indicator is magnetically coupled to the float and moves up and down with the liquid level. The indicator allows the operator to read the level from more than 100 feet away. The only moving parts are the float and the indicator.

Working Principle
Magnetic level gauges work on the principle of communicating vessels, therefore the level in the measuring chamber will be the same as the level in the vessel. The measuring chamber is fitted with a float, which has a magnet inside. The float with magnet will float on the medium and the magnet in the float will turn the flaps of the indicating rail.

Maintenance and operation standards:

1. The liquid level gauge must be installed vertically to ensure that the float assembly can move up and down freely in the main pipe. 
2. A stop valve shall be installed between the measuring vessel and the level gauge to facilitate the cleaning and maintenance of the level gauge to cut off the use of liquid. The flange gasket shall be made of high temperature, high pressure and corrosion-resistant materials, and the connecting fastener shall be made of high-strength bolts. The replacement cycle of stop valve and flange gasket shall not be more than 1 year.
3. There shall be no strong magnet near the main body of the liquid level gauge to prevent affecting the normal measurement and use of the liquid level gauge.
4. The distance between the steel plate of the maintenance platform of the liquid level gauge and the main body of the liquid level gauge is more than 100mm, so as to avoid magnetic absorption obstacles in the short distance
5. A thrust spring must be installed at the bottom of the liquid level gauge to prevent the float from sinking due to the effect of large pressure difference when the liquid level is lower than the lower pressure pipe, and it cannot float up with the actual medium liquid level
6. When using the liquid level gauge, avoid using strong magnet to pull up and down the float outside the connecting pipe for inspection, to prevent the magnetic weakening or polarity change of the magnetic float.
7. The cycle shall be determined according to the medium characteristics and service conditions, and the drain cleaning of connecting pipe and the offline cleaning of magnetic float shall be carried out to ensure that there is no iron filings or other dirt attached to the float body and no scaling on the inner wall of connecting pipe (the cycle of float cleaning and flange drain of main pipe shall not be more than 3 months, and the cycle of scale cleaning on the inner wall of main pipe shall not be more than 12 months).
8. When the liquid level gauge is put into use after installation and maintenance, the bottom blowdown valve shall be opened for blowdown, and the heavy end (magnetic end) of the float assembly shall be upward, instead of inverted installation. When put into operation, the valve of the upper liquid extraction pipe shall be opened first, and then the valve of the lower liquid extraction pipe shall be opened slowly to ensure that the medium can enter the main pipe smoothly and avoid the medium from impacting the float rapidly.
